JobRelay Ltd
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This Cookie Policy applies to the JobRelay website at jobrelay.io, including its account, subscription, checkout and support facilities.
JobRelay Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 15514526. Our registered-office and other corporate details are available on our Company Information page.
In this policy, JobRelay Ltd is referred to as “JobRelay”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. Not every technology described below is activated on every page. Some cookies are used only when you log in, add a subscription to your basket, make a payment or submit a protected form.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies can be used to make a website function correctly, provide security, authenticate users, remember preferences or collect information about how a website is used.
Similar technologies can also store information on, or access information from, your device. References to cookies in this policy include these similar technologies where appropriate.
How do we use cookies?
We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural profiling or conventional website analytics.
The cookies used on the JobRelay website support:
- account registration and authentication;
- secure access to customer account information, subscriptions and job-posting logs;
- shopping-basket and checkout functionality;
- subscription and payment processing;
- fraud prevention and website security;
- the operation and protection of website forms; and
- the storage of preferences selected by a user.
We also use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to understand general website usage.
Website analytics
We use Fathom Analytics to understand how visitors use the JobRelay website, including which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site.
Fathom does not use cookies or track visitors across different websites. It provides us with aggregated website statistics without creating persistent profiles of individual visitors.
Fathom temporarily processes limited technical information, such as an IP address and browser user-agent, to produce privacy-focused statistics and protect its service.
Further information is available in Fathom’s data journey and Fathom’s privacy policy.
WordPress and account cookies
The JobRelay website uses WordPress to provide its website and customer account facilities.
When you visit a login page, log in to your account or use an authenticated part of the website, WordPress may place cookies that:
- test whether your browser accepts cookies;
- authenticate your account;
- keep you logged in while moving between pages;
- protect secure account areas;
- remember that you selected the “Remember Me” option; and
- store account-interface or language preferences.
These cookies may include:
- wordpress_test_cookie: checks whether your browser supports cookies;
- wordpress_logged_in_[hash]: identifies that you are logged in and enables access to account functionality;
- wordpress_sec_[hash]: supports secure authentication over HTTPS;
- wordpress_[hash]: may be used as part of WordPress authentication;
- wp-settings-[user ID] and wp-settings-time-[user ID]: remember interface preferences for a logged-in user; and
- wp_lang: may remember the language selected on a login or account screen.
The text represented by [hash] or [user ID] varies between websites and users.
Some authentication cookies last only for the current browsing session. If you select “Remember Me”, the relevant login cookie may remain for longer so that you do not need to sign in again on every visit.
Blocking these cookies may prevent you from logging in or using the My Account area, purchase history, subscription-management facilities, integrations or job-posting logs.
Shopping basket, checkout and subscription cookies
The JobRelay website uses online-store functionality to sell and manage subscriptions.
When you add a subscription to your basket, begin checkout or manage a purchase, the website may use cookies or session technologies to:
- remember the contents of your basket;
- preserve checkout information while you move between pages;
- associate the checkout session with the correct browser;
- apply a valid discount or promotional code;
- prevent duplicate or unauthorised transactions; and
- complete and administer the purchase.
Depending on the configuration in use, these cookies may have names beginning with edd_ or may be stored as part of a website session.
Basket and checkout cookies normally expire when they are no longer required for the transaction or after a limited period of inactivity. Blocking them may cause the basket to appear empty or prevent checkout from working correctly.
Stripe payments
We use Stripe to provide and secure JobRelay’s online payment and subscription facilities.
When you interact with the JobRelay checkout or payment process, Stripe may place cookies or use similar technologies to:
- process payments;
- prevent and detect fraud;
- protect payment and customer information;
- authenticate users or payment methods; and
- keep Stripe’s payment services functioning correctly.
Depending on the Stripe services and payment options used, these technologies may include:
- __stripe_mid: helps Stripe assess the risk associated with a payment and prevent fraud;
- __stripe_sid: helps Stripe assess payment risk during a browsing session;
- m: supports Stripe’s fraud-prevention and risk-assessment systems; and
- other Stripe cookies: Stripe may set additional authentication, payment or fraud-prevention cookies depending on the payment method or features selected, such as Stripe Link.
Stripe controls the precise names and duration of its cookies, which may vary according to the Stripe feature being used.
Current information about the types and duration of Stripe cookies is available in Stripe’s Cookie Policy.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA on forms to distinguish genuine submissions from spam, bots and other automated or abusive activity.
When reCAPTCHA is activated, Google may set the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie and process limited technical information required to assess whether a submission is likely to be legitimate.
Depending on the reCAPTCHA configuration, browser and any existing relationship you have with Google, other Google cookies may also be present.
These technologies are used for website security and the prevention of spam, fraud and abuse. JobRelay does not use them for advertising or website analytics.
Further information is available in Google’s reCAPTCHA documentation.
Essential cookies
We classify the WordPress authentication, account, basket, checkout, Stripe and reCAPTCHA cookies described above as essential where they are used solely to:
- provide secure account access;
- remember a basket or checkout session;
- process a subscription or payment;
- authenticate a user or payment method;
- prevent fraud or unauthorised access;
- protect forms against spam and automated abuse; or
- provide another feature specifically requested by the user.
We do not ask for consent before using cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request, complete a transaction or maintain the security of that service.
Fathom Analytics does not place analytics cookies and is not used to track visitors across websites.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies in the future, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent mechanism where required.
How long cookies remain on your device
The period for which a cookie remains on your device depends on its purpose and configuration.
- Session cookies normally expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity.
- Authentication cookies may last for the current session or longer where you select an option such as “Remember Me”.
- Basket and checkout cookies normally remain only while required to preserve or complete a transaction.
- Preference cookies may remain for longer so that the relevant preference can be remembered on a later visit.
- Third-party cookies are retained according to the policies and configuration of the relevant provider.
A cookie may be replaced or renewed when you revisit the website or use the relevant feature.
Managing cookies
You can inspect, delete or block cookies using your browser settings.
Please be aware that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from:
- logging in to your JobRelay account;
- remaining logged in while using the account area;
- viewing or managing subscriptions and purchases;
- preserving items in a shopping basket;
- completing checkout or making a payment; or
- submitting forms protected against spam and abuse.
Instructions for managing cookies are normally available through your browser’s privacy or cookie settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, account facilities, payment systems, service providers or legal obligations change.
The latest version will be published on the JobRelay website with its revision date shown above.
